So...I have mixed feelings about this episode. On the one hand, I love how things are flipped, and how not all people from the Water Tribes are made of sunshine and lilies, and how the south really did have their own kind of styles and bending. I loved the humour, the horror stories, and the fight scene at the end, when Katara comes into her own, despite the horror and sadness of the situation.
But...
I just feel and always feel sort of sad that one of the few badass old ladies we see in the show is not only evil, but called that loathesome label "witch". It gets sooo old and tiresome, and while I get that this was supposed to be a Halloween episode, I was just so =/. Blah.
But poor Katara. We finally see how sometimes she walks a thin line between good and evil, and this sadly will not be the last time she has to use this power on someone. Like I always say, ethics mean nothing to a broken heart. Poor Katara T.T
